Elections in the Republic of Macedonia gives information on election and election results in the Republic of Macedonia.
The Republic of Macedonia elects on national level a head of state - the president - and a legislature. The president is elected for a five-year term by the people. The Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia (Sobranie) has 120 members, elected for a four-year term, by proportional representation.
The last parliamentary elections were held on 5 July 2006.
The winner was the coalition led by the VMRO-DPMNE. The territory of the Republic of Macedonia is divided in six electoral constituencies and each one elects twenty members of the parliament. With the changes of the electoral law three new constituencies were formed: Europe & Africa, South & North America and Australia & Asia.[2] In these constituencies Macedonian diaspora votes and elects three members of the parliament.
