Modi magic shakes Sydney's Allphones Arena After Madison Square Garden
Sydney, Nov 17: Congress leader and former union minister Salman Khurshid raised questions regarding crowd which gathered to listen to Narendra Modi whenever he visits US, Japan or Australia. Khurshid claimed that Modi "takes his own people along" while travelling to foreign countries. However, a reality check at the venues, where Modi addressed Indians in foreign lands, disclosed a different story.
Indian Prime Minister impressed all with his magnificent speech at Madison Square Garden in New York in US on Sept 29. At least 20,000 NRIs attended the event and created ripples in America's political circuit, more than 20,000 people came to listen to Modi's speech at Allphones Arena in Sydney on Nov 17.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) International Joint Coordinator Ravi Kumar was quoted as saying, "The standing capacity in the hall is 21,000, but the record crowd they ever had was 17,000." Continuing his statement, Kumar added, "Now sitting capacity is only 16,000, and we are having a booking of more than 23,000. So, you can see that has broken all the records in Australia, 16,000 people will be inside and many several thousand will be watching on a giant screen from outside, this is the magic of Prime Minister Modi."
Allphones Arena is a large entertainment and sporting complex located in Sydney, Australia. It is situated in Sydney Olympic Park. This is the biggest indoor park in the country.
